Close to Perfect
On the hunt for the perfect leather-free A5 notebook cover, I bought 3 different models to compare. The Orbitkey Compendium was the priciest by far, however I like it the best and is great value for the quality and considered design. In addition to the Orbitkey notebook that comes with it, third-party A5 notebooks, with either top or side binding, fit well also - I like the Midori lay flat notebooks personally. The Compendium cover also opens flat, stays open and closes flat with thicker notebooks, even without securing the clip. The inside pockets also don't create too much of an uneven surface when writing on the back side of the first few pages. The only minor suggestions for improvement would be the pen/pencil holder is a little too tight for larger diameter pens/pencils (I expect it will loosen over time) and the stitching is a bit uneven in places. It's such a good product I'm tempted to buy another one for a sketchpad!
